Overview

The snowcapped mountains were considered protector deities as they fertilized the valleys with their eternal water and they are always covered in white snow like angels are dressed in white! The Andean people revered these mountain spirits as sacred guardians that hold the power of healing and self-realization in this journey we will arrive to the altar of Apu     Ausangate (Mountain Spirit). This journey touches your soul in ways that will transform your life.

Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVE CUSCO – WELCOME DINNER (D)salkantay4

Today we fly over the majestic Andes to Cusco. Make sure to have your camera ready for some spectacular photo opportunities. On a clear day you can see all the valleys a
nd peaks and the tiny mountain towns scattered among the hills.

In the evening we will gather together for our Welcome Dinner of traditional Peruvian cuisine and enjoy the local entertainment. (Overnight in Cusco)

 DAY 02: CHINCHERO-MORAY (B, L)

After breakfast we make our way through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will visit Chinchero, a small village located high up in the windswept plains, offers spectacular views over the Sacred Valley and the snowcapped peaks of the Andes. Renowned for its beautiful traditional weavings, this town is the perfect place to pick up souvenirs and gifts. Here we immerse ourselves in the local community meeting village elders and the friendly local inhabitants.

We will have the pleasure of meeting Puma’s family to learn more of their traditional ways and practices and perhaps hear a few stories and tales.

after lunch we will visit Moray, this was very important altar to mother earth, this ceremonial place was considered an inka laboratory were they grew many fruits and products brought from far away. (Overnight in Cusco).

DAY 03: SACRED VALLEY – SORAYPAMPA (B, S, L, D)

After Breakfast we will make our way to the sacred realm of Salkantay Mountain. a pilgrimage that was done since unmemorable times when a medicine man or woman had to journey to this mountsalkantay 8ain in at least once in a life time to reconnect ancestral lineages and the wild energy or Salka energy.  With few ceremonies along the way in preparation we will drive for about 4 hours stopping along the way in Tarawasi the princess temple. We will arrive to soraypampa campsite from where we will be able to see the second highest mountain in Cusco region with an altitude of 6,270 meters (20,600 ft.) and connecting with the sacred mountain we will stay with this sacred mountain in ceremony and prepare our Greeting Despacho offering. We will after dinner sleep early as it is necessary at this powerful place in preparation for reaching the pass campsite the next day. (Overnight in Soraypampa campsite).

 DAY 04: SORAYPAMPA – WAYRAQ (B, S,  L, D)

After early Breakfast we will start the day with sacred ceremony of greeting the mountain spirits, and begin our big day we will hike through the rio Blanco river around Humantay Mountain. We will be in an amazing scenery as we ascend closer and closer to this powerful Mountain.  We will arrive to soyroQocha Campsite the closest to the Salkantay pass we will be at 4570 m of altitude where we will have lunch and connect even more hearing legends about this mythical mountain. (Overnight Soyroqocha Campsite)

HIKING LEVEL: moderate to challenging because of the altitude and the steep hill, optional horse ride to assist.

 DAY 05: WAYRAQ CHALLWAY (B, S, L, D)

After a leisurely breakfast we will begin with the longest hike of the journey the good news is that only 10 % up hill and 90 % downhill, the not so good news is that is about 12 kilometers of descending to thsalkantay 9e cloud forest and enjoying the beautiful realms of the Andes as we descend from Snow glacier passes to Cloud forest and in to the rain forest. Majestic day to enjoy the Power of pachamama as we need to be in close contact with her to get the strength and the life-force to be of better service on this planet.  (Overnight in Challhuay)

HIKING LEVEL: easy to Moderate because of the long downhill.

 DAY 06: CHALLWAY SANTA TERESA (B, S, L, D)

After breakfast we board our private transportation to santa Teresa town where we will have lunch and we can visit the sacred amniotic liquid of Mother Earth. The hot springs of Cocalmayo known to be the best in Peru. Connect with sacred water element and relax in the afternoon recovering from the trekking we just did. Relax the rest of the day optional night visit to the hot springs.

After the farewell ceremony with our mountain crew such as guides and porters and cooks we will prepare for the epic day next day to visit Machupicchu. (Overnight Santa Teresa Camp site)

 DAY 07: MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY (B)

Today we enjoy a SHORT train ride to the charming village of Aguas Calientes. After checking in to our hotel we make our way by bus to the sanctuary of Machu Picchu for our spiritual awake

salkantay 2ning. “The Lost City of the Incas” is an inspiring and beautiful sacred site, an architectural wonder, and a great testament to Incan Civilization. Once used primarily as an astronomical Observatory, Machu Picchu now attracts thousands of visitors each year to connect with the sacred energies of this special place. Because it sits within 3 corresponding high peaks of power which create an energy triangle, it is a perfect spot to sit and meditate, focus your intent, and grow your awareness.

During our time here we will visit the Temple of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the spiritual center of  the Intihuatana, or the Hitching Post of the Sun to connect with the upper and lower worlds and the elements of air, and fire. Enjoy a few moments for private reflection and exploration, before being guided into a heart-opening ceremony to connect with Pachamama and the universal energies that encompass us – a life changing experience! In the afternoon we will ride a train along the Urubamba River back to Ollantaytambo. (Overnight in Aguas Calientes)

 DAY 08: PISAQ – FAREWELL DINNER (B, D)

After breakfast, we continue on to Ollantaytambo, the Sanctuary of the Wind, renowned for its ancient fortress. We visit the royal baths and fountains for a shamanic energy cleansing ceremony by Unu, the Water element, and then make our way along the murmuring river to the Temple of the Condor for a few moments of reflection and silent meditation. Ending off our afternoon, we stop at the main altar area of the temple to receive our blessings from Wayra (Wind Element), the guardian of the site.

After lunch in Urubamba, We drive into the hills to the picturesque town of Pisac to admire the colonial architecture and the awe-inspiring scenic beauty and stop at the ancient solar observatory, which we will enter through the ancient Temple of the Condor, for a private ceremony.

We then make our way to the village of Pisac and enjoy time to explore the Andean Marketplace to purchase lovely handcrafted treasures to take home.

As we watch the sun set, take time to reflect on the day before returning to our hotel for the night.salkantay 1

In the evening we will enjoy a farewell dinner with music and traditional dancing for those leaving us at the end of the journey. Tonight will be a wonderful opportunity to share the gifts, wisdom, and insights we have all received on this magical journey.

In the evening we will gather together for our farewell Dinner of traditional Peruvian cuisine and enjoy the local entertainment. (Overnight in Cusco)

 DAY 09: TRANSFER

AFTER THE TRASFER TO THE AIRPORT WE WILL WISH FARE WELL JOURNEYS BACK HOME. AND IS THE END OF OUR SERVICES.
